I think the protagonist in my novel,
"Galveston" is Caldwell. The first character trait I decided apon is, he is unfriendly. "Caldwell had annoyed the comstoms official, he could see that, so he profferred an explanation." Secondly, I thought he has a lack of energy. "Denton jabbered and gesticulated and even managed to rise a smile on the face of Herbert, the Cree guide, who gave the impression of never having smiled in his life. But Caldwell was unmoved, and sat in the bow, hunched over, his hands pressed together in a mockery of prayer." Next, I chose lucky. "He smiled as he said, "I used to be a teacher. Phys. ed. and science. But i don't need work any more. I'm rich."" Lastly, I thought Caldwell to be moody. "Hey," he said, "did we come here to fish or to fool around?"(previously, sitting silently, and alone daydreaming).

You did a good job of describing this character and you gave good examples from the book to show the characters traits.
